Every child is different. Gender has nothing to do with it in my opinion.
A boy. I've got one of each and it has been WAY more challenging and dramatic to raise the girl than the boy. Admittedly, the boy was my first and is a pleaser; but WHOAH!! the girl is high maintenance. It's something I love about her though.
I've never seen a difference. I have two boys and a girl. My daughter is sassy. My oldest son is controlled, my youngest son is the family character and independent. Each has brought it's challenges.

But, each has brought joy. I love their differences and take their challenges.

I think I find personality has had more to do with what was easier at what time rather than gender.
