Almost everday/every meal. Even if my husband is working I am sure to sit down at the table with the girls to eat. I did not have that as a child and want my girls, too.
Always, always, always. My kids tend to share a lot more during dinner.....about their day, school and so forth. We usually eat dinner late (8ish) because of dancing, sports and work, but dinner time is our time as a family. Once a week we will have a picnic at a local park as well...it's cheaper than eating out and more exciting.
We do every night. I am hoping that we can keep it up as my kids get older. They are 2 and 4 and I have refused so far to do any activity that cuts into dinner time. However, we will be signing up for soccer so I will have to see. Dinner time is our connect time, no t.v. we all sit together at the table. It is a great way to end the day - although there are those days that I just look at my hubby and say tonight we eat out! You get a bit burnt 7 days a week of cooking.
I am very proud to say that we usually have one meal everyday that the three of us sit down together. Because DH is on 3rd shift, my son and I usually have Breakfast and Lunch just the two of us, but dinner time is our chance to connect!
we try - but thanks to traffic and my terrible commute we dont always make it. however, those nights that dad and son have a male bonding dinner with out me, they do usually sit with me while i eat my dinner and chat about the day :)
We try to get home for dinner as a family every night, even though it often means we need to get our laptops out to work after the kids go to bed. It is very important to me. Sometimes it is not possible if we need to run one kid to baseball or soccer practice but we try - even if it is just sandwiches.
