Summers become more of a problem. 4 kids all home at same time - drives me nuts. But, I keep older two in summer camp so they can play, swim and have fun activities. Little ones are always home year round since they aren't school age yet. But that will change next year for child #3 when he goes off to Kindergarten. We have all year passes to Aquaruim so I'll be taking the little ones more often while the older ones are in camp. But, I become chauffeur alot more in the summer b/c kids going to camp when I don't have to in winter b/c they take bus to school.
Winters everyone starts getting cabin fever. But all year round with 4 kids has it's ups and down.
I find the summers much more relaxing! My kids are out of school so we aren't working on homework & projects. They can sleep in if they want to and we can stay out late without concerns for early morning rising if we have something fun going on.
I find the winter months much more relaxing. My husband is a park ranger and we live within Yellowstone National Park. The winter months feel like out own personal playground. Summer rolls around, traffic picks up (and up and up), and the solitude is over for awhile:( ~Lisa
I live in Miami so its the same. The only difference is that its a little hotter in the summer and the beach is better. But it's not as exciting as it was when I lived in Maryland.
