My husband was in the military. We have moved a lot! I grew up in the same neighborhood all of my life. but I am making up for the lack of moving now in my adult life. Even though my husband is now out of the military we are still moving around although this time at least we are able to stay in the same state.

In the seven years of marriage we moved 4 times. I don't suggest it! It was very hard on us and financiailly hurt us.
We moved right after our honeymoon. Our first day of our honeymoon was 9/11/2001 and we were in Spain. We came home to our cute NYC apt. and the city changed...very depressing and a little stuart little decided to camp out in our apt.. That set me off and we got a beautiful apt. in NJ viewing the NYC skyline, bought a house, moved to Ohio and bought a house there, then moved back to NY. We have been in the same house for 3 years which is pretty long for us and it has been very nice but now itiching to move.
I've got ants in my pants.LOL!
I have moved in the same general area for my whole life. Not the same town/city, but in the same area of CT, bouncing from town to town. I've been in the same town for about five years now.
Growing up, my family moved around in NYC a few times. Then of course came college (midwest), then I settled in my new state (MA), got married, had a couple of young-married-couple apts, then in 1992 we moved to a "city" (it's more suburban really) between Boston & Providence, and have been at the same place ever since, including through the arrival of our now-8-yr-old son. Both my husband & I feel the home selling/buying process and the actual act of packing up, moving, fixing up old & new place, etc. is so much unpleasant work that we have ZERO urge to go through that any time soon. Just as well, since selling around here is next to impossible. - Paula.
how about both? i was born and lived my early years (long time) in VA and then moved to SC and stayed there until college! Eventually i found my way back to VA and i hope to stay here a while because i really hate moving! i see one more big move in my near future and i hope thats it for another long while :)
