Wee one had two words at 10 months. I think "all done / all gone" was the first.

Elder sister had at least 2 or 3 words when I took custody on her first birthday. She had a word for "auntie" and could say her foster mom's name. She also said "mama" but I can't say whether she meant "mama" or not.
Ball. About 13 months old. He loves balls.
"Taco" as a good mexican :-) He was around 12 months old
OK, our daughter had an odd one -- "leika". She would literally yell it over and over again and then giggle. The weirdest thing is that I speak Russian to her and this actually is a word -- don't know the exact translation, but what you water your flowers with. Thing is, we are pretty sure we never used it around her:)
My son's first word was "apple". He was 10 months old.

My son's first word was mama.
My sons first words beyond babbling dada and baba was "this". He would point at something and say "this". It usually was something that he wanted. After a few this' he started saying "that". I want to say it was at ten months old.
