Did you always want to have kids?

I never thought that I WOULDN'T have kids.....but a career took over and my life headed in different directions which included an early divorce and 3 subsequent engagements. I just didn't feel confident about pulling the trigger and getting married again. After 40, I started thinking that maybe one day I'd ask a guy friend to donate sperm and just have a baby as a single Mom. (At 40 - like I had all the time in the world to figure it out?) Little did I know (at 41) I'd meet the man of my dreams and right after we moved in together and started talking about having a baby I got pregnant - naturally! He officially proposed on the day of my amnio and we got married 3 1/2 months before our daughter was born.

Yes. I think I would have been really bummed if I ever had to give up on becoming a mom - it's always been a huge goal/desire for me.
I always wanted 2 kids, 3 at most. i wanted a boy than a girl or 2 girls. but after my first 2 kids ended up being boys i decided i needed to try again to get a girl. and with my wishing i got twin girls haha. than my youngest ( a little boy) came along a few years later and i love having 5 kids
Nooo, the thought of being a mom terrified me until we actually started TTC about 4 years into our marriage. :)
Yes. I always wanted to have kids. I especially wanted a daughter and very happy got one of each.
Nope. I had absolutely no interest in kids and never really planned on having any of my own. But then when I turned 30, something kind of happened. One of my girlfriends got pregnant and upon seeing photos of her and her son, I remember feeling really jealous and sad and thinking, 'Whoa -- what's going on?' So, without my knowledge or permission, I guess I WAS ready to have a kid.

Our little one is about 11 weeks old, and while he's my little guy, I think this is it -- I really can't see having another one. I'm grateful for the experience of pregnancy, delivery (God bless epidurals!), and being a mom, but everything about it STILL hasn't registered with me. I may finally believe I'm a mom when he's 13 or so... ;-)
I am an only child. Because I am a member of a very large, close knit extended family that lives nearby, I rarely felt alone. I always knew that I wanted kids, and more than just one. I have 2 young sons, and even though I am often tired and occassionally stressed, I LOVE my boys. Because I had trouble conceiving due to hormonal imbalances, I feel truly blessed to have them (As a side note, those having problems conceiving should consider visiting a certified hollistic practitioner. Mine was great and I was pregnant 3 months after my first visit).

NO. I had a ruff life as a child and was too afraid to bring a child into this world, and fail him/her. I wanted to be a prosecutor. I figured I would adopt instead. At the age of 19 I took custody of my 13 yr old niece. At 25 got pregnant and was depressed for the 1st month when I found out.
Now I wouldn't change it for the world, but I have no desire to have any more!!
