For those of you who use daycare, do you wake your child up in the morning, or does she wake up by herself?”

  • He wakes up on his own every morning at promptly 6:00 am! (Even on Saturday!) He is in bed by 7:30pm, though, so we have time to hang out as a couple, or even go out with friends without feeling guilty about not spending time with him, which is nice. :)

  • Our three alarm clocks all go off around 6:30 -- first, my 3 year old comes into our room. His one-year old brother then starts to cry (because his brother just left their room). Then, our dogs hear the commotion and start barking because they want to be fed. On weekends, somehow they all end up in our bed! I dream of a peaceful morning where I wake up before everyone else, drink my coffee, and shower. The good news is that by 8:00, everyone is awake, dressed, fed, and ready for the day!

  • We have to wake her up. She is NOT a morning person. I have no idea where she gets that from, certainly not her mommy! LOL.

  • Sheesh! I wish mine would sleep in so that we could at least sleep in on the weekends. Ocean is pretty much our alarm clock! He used to wake up around 5:30am. Then he started sleeping in until 6am or so. It works for me on the weekdays because I have to get up then anyway. This past week only he has been getting up at 6:45am. However, I am not too excited because the only reason he is sleeping that late is becasue he has been getting up at 4am or so thinking that it is 6am and then realizing that no one is going to come in there to play and going back to sleep! He has been waking up at this time pretty much since he was born which drove me crazy when I was on maternity leave because I could have used the sleep!

  • depends, normally he is starting to wake up on his own but if he is going through a growth spurt (he's 2) he really wants to sleep until like 9am! Which is great on weekends, but not so great when he has to 'go to work with daddy' (daycare on site at my husbands office!) and they leave by 8am. those mornings we have to wake him up and i dont like it either!

  • Good question! I hate having to wake up my 18 mos old. When I drop him off, I have to wake him up at 6:45 and it breaks my heart for some reason. The good thing is, my husband usually drops him off and he leaves later for work, so he can let him sleep until 7:30 and wake up on his own.
