  • this question makes me so sad, because I know my kids will grow up faster than I want them too. All those things/times that I thought were frustrating will seem so far away.

When my first child was born I remember telling my mother at each age, that it was my favorite. She replied something like: each one is your favorite, because it keeps getting better.

I always remember how nice that sounded. Now that I have three kids 8, 5, 2 I enjoy different aspects from each of those ages. But it is sad, as we are on our last baby, that this time is disappearing.

  • Oh Kim, you are sooooo right. I have awsome conversations with my middleschool son! My daughter is 24 and I loved her are a little girl! I love her now but it was sooo much fun as a mommies girl.

  • My favorite is middle school. I know most moms complain this is a tough age for their children. I absolutely loved my son when he was that age. He is now a freshman in HS. During MS we had some deep conversations about people and personalities and why kids do certain things. He was at an age where he still trusted mom and dad and believed what we had to say. He was home and still wanted to spend time with his family. I find in HS that he is rarely home. He has so many activities. Also, in MS they are so independent giving me more freedom to live my life, while still enjoying my children.

  • Both my kids are still little (1.5 and 2.5), but I have to say that I love 2! Of all ages, 3 is my favorite, though. They are just so fascinated by the world and can talk about it by then. Their imagination hasn`t been stifled yet and they are just so exuberant about life!
