What's the one thing you'd change about your career path if you did it all over again?

I would have considered my strengths and interests more in choosing a college major and career, and not been as highly motivated to choose "something where I could always find a job" (even though it HAS worked out that way).

I used to work at a small software company. On my own, I took a programming class. Just for fun. And the VP of Development asked me if I wanted to be a programmer. I said no without looking into it because I thought it was too solitary a job. Well, now I am a programmer and I really wish I had started earlier.

I would pay more attention to the future - where I want to be in 5 or 10 years and then set out to get there.
