  • The biggest stressors in my life right now are: the fact that my husband is very unhappy with his job, always stressed about money (who's not?), trying to work at home with a baby. My job requires that I take phone calls, answer emails quickly, and publish things on the web quickly so I get stressed out first thing in the morning wondering how I am going to do it.. again.

  • I stress about alot of things.....the watermain break in the front yard I had to pay for the hot water heater that blew the day after and the ups driver running over my dog and killing her the same day.......I stress about the MRSA running through the schools knowing what it does. Knowing that the reason I work from home is my mother picked up MRSA 3 yrs ago during a simple knee replacement and can never walk again..........I stress mostly about things I can't fix. But I as long as I can wake up every day and put my feet on the floor and take care of me & my family all is good.

  • Being a full-time single parent, my biggest stress is all of the responsibility that lays on my shoulders. It feels as though everyday is a battle. Just picture a waiter's tray just overflowing...it's overflowing with things to do. My work is never done. When I am not working at work, I am working as a parent. It is a constant challenge. It's a challenge that I enjoy, it's also a challenge that wears me down. I do it because I love my child, I want the best for my child and for the hope that one day she will have a better life.

  • Right now my grandmother is having lots of health issues-some unfixable, so we have had a really tough few weeks. My grandmother and my mother-in-law both had big problems within a few days. We were in shock. My mother-in-law is doing well right now.

Beyond that my daily stress is money. I held out looking for a job because I was hoping to build up my tutoring client base. I can't wait any longer. I did secure a waitressing job that I was unhappy with. I am in transition to another waitressing job that seems like it will be good. I am trying to focus on how much we have and not how much we owe. It is really hard to get caught up!!

  • A couple of weeks ago I would have said money. But right now I would say ...I'm not really stressed out. My husband and I just started on a program to pay off all of our debt. I truly think that since we changed our attitude about money, the flow of money in our lives has changed...or maybe it just looks different from this angle. I hope all of you find stress relief too!

  • Hmmm...number 1 would have to be that I quit smoking just over a month ago, although that's definitely a good thing.

Another immediate stressor is dog hair. I know it sounds silly, but we have a black lab and the shedding has been outrageous lately. I'm completely overwhelmed by it.

On a more macro level, I stress a lot about my husband's job. Specifically, coordinating my hours with his hours as well as household things that affect his ability to work (he works from home), like when the Internet connection is having problems (I am the designated handler of all things tech support-related).

  • my stress right now is money (doesnt all stress start with money?!) and the never ending quest for enough to no longer live paycheck to pay check! though i think with every pay increase we tend to then expand our living to accomodate and are back to square one! i also am helping a friend start a business so thats stress - but fun stress! i think it actually helps relieve other stress because i feel like it's totally my choice and i can stop anytime if i wanted to. so with all of that i am looking for a new job that will help the bank account AND give me some flexible time to spend more time with my family and work on some of the 'fun' stuff!

  • Last month hubby lost his job. Right now we are using savings & cash left over from a refi until he figures out what he wants to do. The not knowing is driving me batty!! Additionally, I had just found a perfect mix of time at my office job & working at home, but if we need the extra money, it will most likely fall on me to put more office (read: higher paying) hours in to make up the shortfalls. **sigh**
