  • No, because I knew it would involve researching and decision-making and there was already more than enough of that going on! I needed to hold on to my sanity.

  • our hospital asked if we wanted them to collect it for free and we got the serial number incase we needed it. i figure, if it's free and it might help someone - why not? i wasnt planning on paying for it but since they offered it i was ok with it.

  • Our doctor strongly implied this was a waste of money and a gimmick to trick $ out of anxious parents, and we didn't pursue it. Of course that doesn't mean it hasn't helped some families. Before investing (I recall it's pretty expensive), it might make sense to do some research - independent of those tear-jerker cordblood bank advertisements - on how useful it really is.
