I'm curious, for those who say no, how many are school-age (Kindergarten & up) vs how many are PreK? I find after 1st grade nearly all the parties were on Saturday/Sunday.
We don't say no to birthday parties but we try not to plan any playdates on the weekend. I work during the week at night so the only time I have with my girls is on the weekend so I try to spend as much time as I can with my girls.
I do it all the time. I'm very protective of my family time and I prefer to spend our weekends as just the four of us. I share my girls with daycare professionals for eight hours a day during the week, I share them with family and friends repeatedly throughout the week and into the weekend... Sometimes, I feel like we deserve just to be together and I don't feel the least bit bad about it. www.themamalady.com
Sure do. Especially if my husband is home for the weekend (he usually works) to spend family time. We both have huge families, so if we don't make one, there's bound to be some kind of activity the very next weekend.
not very often, i think for the kids to go to birthday parties and functions is a good way for them to be independent and also helps them to develop their social skills.
