I have a five year old and evertime i try to teach him something constucktive he quits in a matter of sec. I don't know what to do!”

  • I think he may grow out of that. Their attention spans are short. My husband would quiz my stepson on simple things during the day or before bed when he was 4 and 5 and he would get frustrated fast. Now he is 6, in the first grade and reading at a second grade level. It's so much easier to get him to do homework now. We knew he was smart before but he just didn't want to talk about learning-related stuff outside of school.
