I tend to be able to leave the work stress at work for the most part. When we have a really bad day I do bring it home and then I am glad when there is no one there when I do get home. I work overnights and my husband and son are gone before I get off. I have the time I need to chill out before I have to deal with the family.
I have learned to contain it for the most part, but it still affects me in that it makes me tired. I rarely check work email at home anymore because it can be upsetting and I can't do anything about it from home.
I'm acutally just now learning to leave work at work. Sometimes work gets rreeaaalllyyy stressful and it's hard to disengage. My breaking point was when I came home a few months ago and found myself yelling at my husband about a head of iceberg lettuce. I realized then that it wasn't about the iceberg lettuce; it was about my boss, my colleagues, post maternity leave transitioning ... etc ... Now, I am much happier because I just let it go at the end of the day and just have fun with hubby and baby
It used to...when I did primary care medical work, I brought all the problems and suffering of my patients home. So I switched my studies to focus on a more research-based field.

I get stressed. I get calls and emails after hours.
I worry about deadlines at night and lose sleep some nights.
I seriously need to relax. I just feel like everything is such a juggling act/.
One wrong move, and it crumbles.
We all got sick last week and talk about NIGHTMARE!
UGGG
I wish i was able to leave it at the office.
