My best Mom Advice is to put on makeup everyday. Even when you're home and you feel like you can't spare the time. Put on makeup, brush your hair, paint your toenails - do something that connects you to your womanhood. I wore makeup into the Delivery Room with both of my girls and I wore it home from the hospital stay. Taking the smidge of extra time to focus on myself made me feel like a norma person, rather than a bedraggled post-Cesarean patient with milk leaking from her boobs and a giant patch of her hoo-ha. www.themamalady.com
No, but I do wear it if I am going in to the office or have a meeting, It took me a long time to get to this point-- I was raised by a mother who said one should NEVER go out of the house without make-up. I"m really into my hair and hair products. I never go out without my hair looking nice.
I very rarely wear make-up. In the 80's, I never left the house without makeup. In the 90's, I found that return-of-the-hippy style and it appealed to me and I found that under that makeup is a gorgeous face. I use a little makeup for a finished look when I get dressed up, but that's rare!
I used to NOT put on makeup if I were staying home all day to work. But then I realized that I like looking nice for my husband, so sometimes, even if it's right before he comes home, I'll go put on some mascara and blush. But I don't usually wear makeup just for me and my computer :).
I apply at least a little makeup every day...if I don't, I feel so unmotivated! I also need to cover up the dark under eye circles from working into the wee hours of the morning!
Yes. I've become someone who doesn't leave the house without wearing under-eye concealer, mascara, and lip stain, even on weekends. But I don't wear all that much more than that even to work, and I use products that are good for my over-40 skin. It helps me feel more confident and comfortable. Also, it's partly a reaction against my years with my first husband, who was always disapproving of makeup. Now, if I could just get my hair to behave from one day to the next...

When I go out? Almost always. I love that little extra time spent on myself - it's a pampering treat that I genuinely enjoy. Plus - I look GOOD. Heh.
