If you are still looking for a job then I have several suggestions for you. I would suggest first updating your resume immediately and make sure you have it checked by a few other people in your profession. Next, I would suggest networking online at places like Plaxo, LinkedIN, and Facebook to meet as many people as you can and keep a unified online profile regarding your background, resume, and strengths. I would also suggest you start your own blog, which is completely free at wordpress.com. You can post things regarding the latest in your field, so that people know that you are current in your field as well as actively looking for a job. All these things will help employers find you while you network to find opportunities. Of course, the standard thing that everyone does is also post your resume on all the major job search engines (monster, career builder, hotjob, etc.), but in today's market employers are swamped with resumes. Your network is the key to knowing about potential job openings before they are even published.
And for some more tips, you can go to my website for moms returning back to the workplace called www.skyrocketmom.com.
Hope that helps and wish you great success!
