  • My husband doesn´t actually work from home, but he´s a musician, so he works weekend nights and is home all day during the week. He originally left his teaching job to help me with the kids since I was earning considerably more money. But now I do find that he gets on my nerves! Particularly on those days when he is just watching TV or surfing the net and I feel like I have to do everything around the house, plus my job.

The truth is, he is very helpful, but I think couples need some time apart, too. I really enjoy my nights on my own . . . watching Supernatural dvds and sewing. :)

I think couples do need time

  • My husband worked from home for 2 1/2 years and he just started going back to the office full time for the last 2 mths. At first I loved him being home b/c he helped with the two little ones, then he started getting on my nerves b/c I noticed my job getting harder trying to keep the house clean and run after the kids. He's not much help with cleaning, but he does alot to keep the outside of the house together. We have a large acre of property surrounding the house and he's very handy if something gets broken.

We get to miss each other now, but his commute is hell on our budget (gas & tolls)!

  • Yes, it can be very helpful and his long business trips are very hard on me with two kids and a dog BUT I actually like them at the same time. We spend an enormous of time together. Sometimes I really just want to get a job(outside) again so 1. I get paid for ALL the work I do 2. We can miss each other etc.

Everyone always says to me "don't know how you do it". I don't see him all that much because we have a finished attic so I have the second floor, main and basement to mylself & kids. He does help out when nap time comes around but also makes me crazy at times. Thank heavens he makes me laugh....sometimes.

  • One day a week my husband works from home. It's really helpful -- he takes our daughter to school and picks her up, and also manages to go grocery shopping before his calls start. But since I also work from home, it can drive me nuts a bit -- so I try to schedule meetings on those days:)

  • My husband works from home every now and then. The days he works from home are generally very easy days for him. It seems like he is constantly at my door asking me what I'm doing. I'M WORKING!

Fortunately, he's not here that much so I can tolerate it. I can definitely sympathize with you!
