For the freelance writers/professional bloggers- how do you determine your rate? Do clients pay you by the hour, by the word, or do you give them a quote on each project? Thanks, earthmama”

  • You may want to do some research and see what other people in your industry charge. Then, it all depends on how you want to work. I would think that charging by the hour or the project may be less of a headache for you. The more experienced you become, the better you know your pace and style, the easier it will be to judge a project and quote accordingly.
Another thing you may want to consider is, what type of client would be better suited to your temperament. Not every client is created equal. If you don't enjoy working with someone the project will become a headache.
    Good luck to you!
