How many WorkIt Mom members with kids in public school are aware that almost 50,000 schools in America (deemed under-performing) are required to offer free private afterschool tutoring to eligible students under the No Child Left Behind law?”

  • How do you find out what schools are a part of this requirement? My sister is bombing in Geometry, but I doubt her school is under-performing.

  • I afraid to admit this as a former teacher, but I had no idea (maybe that's part of the reason participation in the program is so low). Thanks for passing along the information. It's particularly relevant in this economy - it's sad to say, but with all these lay-offs any one of us could find ourselves in that lower-income bracket in the coming months and a program like this could really help families and children.
