How many kids do you have? Is this more or less than you always thought you would?”

  • We have one son (10 months) and a 2nd due in December (suprise!). We would like to be foster parents or adopt should I ever be able to stay at home and our other kids are older. I imagine there will also be an another suprise baby someday, although I won't be catching up with my MIL who had SEVEN!

  • We have 3 girls. I never really thought about how many children I would have wanted. All I knew was I wanted to be a mother. 3 is a perfect number for me.

  • We have 1. That's all I have patience for. When I was MUCH younger, I always said 4, but the older I got, the more the # went down. We were 35 when we had her (after a previous miscarriage), and decided that 1 was enough. I closed the factor permanently and haven't looked back. These days, with the cost of daycare, and with my hubby out of work for over a year and now working again, I do NOT regret having another. She did, however, ask for a sibliing years ago, but we told her that she was all we needed.

  • I have four....never planned or thought how many I might have. Did think I was done after the third...but mother nature decided after my Mom passed that I should have just one more. She is a blessing and has always taken after my side of the family. So things are good and I can't complain...even though sometimes wish I was younger.

  • We have one - if it had been twins would have been ok too and would for sure be done - and every one that asks when are we going to have the second one I reply - I'm still working on this one and I'll be 50 when he goes to school plus right now couldn't afford daycare for a second (if had had twins would have to figure this part out since no family living in same state). If you had asked in my 20s and 30s I would have said never getting married and never having children but people and events change things in your life. So far it is good

  • I have two but I only intended to have one. Twins sneak up on you.

  • We have two boys. We might have had more, but we are "late starters" (nice way of saying older first time parents) and didn't want to chance any health issues for me or the baby.
