If u use a toddler bed..its time for a twin bed..when they are too tall (long) to sleep comfortable in the toddler bed..u have to be the judge of it. Hope this helped you.
We never used a toddler bed for either child. We moved my DD when she was 2 1/2 from the crib to a twin bed with a bed rail. DS climbed out of the crib at 18 months and we moved him to a twin bed an extra-long, extra-tall bedrail.
