As a working mom, do you ever feel like you're failing in some aspect of your life?”

  • Oh, definitely, but I think it's more of a function of my low-self-esteem issues than of being a working mom. :-). But seriously, I do question myself a lot. And like some of the other moms have said, I often feel like I'm slipping up in one aspect or another of my life - if I'm lucky, it's just one aspect at a time.

I think this is a great discussion question, by the way.

  • Ccould i do somethings better? sure! do i feel like i am failing? nah! just always a work in progress! though i do like mamajama's cloud analogy! it does seem like there are areas that are getting more attention than others at times!

  • I feel like that all the time. Either I'm not focusing enough on my kids, or my husband, or my house, or work, or school--I just have way too much on my plate and it seems like something's always sliding off.

  • No, not all. I do the best I can every day and that's all anyone can ask for....

  • No, I can't say I have ever felt that way.

  • Gotta agree with Jen. I think that it's kind of a cloud that floats over one area or another...right now it's housework :)

  • Oh sure: Right now I am failing to take care of myself. But if it's not that specific thing, it's usually something else.
