My mom was a great mom! Her name is Glenda Williams she was born on October 30, 1944. She was a single mom who raised three kids with the love and support of her family and church family. She worked long hours at the hospital and a lot of overtime. I spent alot of time with my grandma growing up and she was a great woman too.
She got sick in 2006 with brain cancer she had brain surgery and they removed some but not all of the tumor. It was a fast moving cancer and very aggressive. The chemo and radiation didn't do anything to the tumor. She had a great attitude something that I didn't see as a child but she had to work and it was tough on her. She has six grandkids now and she is looking down at us from heaven cheering us all on as we raise our children. We each have a boy and a girl in that order for all three of us. We miss her so much and wish she were here to celebrate Mother's Day but she is with us in spirit.
